Content Guidelines
Great reviews help the Kenyan community make better decisions. These guidelines ensure Resavi remains a fair and trustworthy platform for everyone.
Write about your own experience
Only review businesses you have personally visited. Do not write reviews on behalf of others, or accept payment to write reviews. First-hand accounts are the foundation of a trustworthy community.
Be accurate and honest
Share what genuinely happened during your visit. Exaggerations, fabrications, or reviews written without visiting the business are not permitted and will be removed.
Be constructive
Negative feedback is welcome, but it must be constructive. Personal attacks on business owners or staff, hate speech targeting any ethnic community, or content that promotes discrimination of any kind will be removed immediately.
No conflict of interest
Business owners, employees, and their immediate families may not write reviews for their own business. Competitors may not write negative reviews of rival businesses.
Appropriate language
Reviews must be written in a language the Resavi community can understand — Swahili and English are both fully supported. Avoid profanity, explicit content, or threats.
Photos and media
Only upload photos you took yourself during your visit. Photos must not contain personally identifiable information of other guests without their consent. Misleading or digitally altered images are prohibited.
Violations
Violations of these guidelines may result in review removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban. Serious violations — including defamation or extortion — may be referred to Kenya's Director of Public Prosecutions.
